I saw it for the first time in 2007, so that confused me initially. I was like "So, was this made in 2005? Then what is the movie that was made in the 80s?"

I agree. If there's one thing I like in movies, is detail. And this movie has a LOT of detail in their character design, while the characters in Transformers Animated look like they've been made out of cardboard by a 7-year-old! And the Transformers Animated toys share the same lack of detail!

i agree with nearly everything you said. i was not born when the movie was made so when optimus and the others died i was not phased at all even though i was 5 but i think thats what i liked about it. it seemed more realsitic to a war zone that why.

I prefer this movie than the overrated live action film. Although this movie has a weird story for a kid to comprehend, but it's got awesome music, terrific voice acting and great animation. Like you James, I love it! My rating: 4/5

the new movie got me interested in the series, now i gotta see this one, i may have been born in 93 but i love everything vintage- i got so many old systems movies comics and so on, that steoing into my room is like stepping into a time machine, its awesome- thanks for the review
