I don't think it does at all. DP's music is based firmly in portraying one side of the story, their vision of modern day inner city America. If you seek to portray the other side of the coin as it were there are artists out there doing just that.
The fact that some young men are driven to such crimes in no way diminishes or belittles those who escape the "ghetto bred capitalistic mental(ity)" (to quote I.T.)

My apologies. I didnt listen to the whole song before I commented. Good song. I agree with hibee that it isnt about promoting violence, its more about showing people what innercity people do to survive. Even if the stuff is wrong and illegal, I think its more of a way to promote awarenes and teaching about the type of lifestyle that so many youths think is so cool. The main reason they think that way is because thats what most rappers glorify in their songs. I know I grew up on rap too.
