Shot in and around Las Terrenas and Nagua in 2006. If you need a quality inexpensive place to stay in Las Terrenas then try the Hotel CASA REGULAR. This is a great little hotel near Supermercato Lupe on the Hospital Street. Not only is it extremely clean and enjoyable, but the Chef Francisco has a Cafe that's open nearly 24 hours. Gourmet food and service in the dining area will cost you around 60 dollars for the entire week. staying at the hotel runs around 6 to 10 dollars per day. Very enjoyable and highly recommended!!! SPOT SHIT, you aren't right now, and never were. In my own PROUD DOMINICAN family there are all SHADES of color, from white and blond to very dark. THAT'S NOT A PROBLEM. Of course, you wouldn't get that either. Who's the racist pig now? But get this straight: we WILL NEVER surrender our land to this unwelcomed foreign invasion. As for your feeble attempt to rewrite history, FACT #1: L'Overture invaded the young Dominican Rep to primarily rob, pillage, rape, burn and drive out thousands of Dominicans to Cuba and other places.

There are deep scars inflicted between the sides, and now there's this whole agenda to bag the "Haitian problem" at the expense of Dominicans, playing the ethnic -not racial- card. Take note: History has a funny way to repeat itself. As for Haiti's "glorious independence endeavor", you "forgot" to mention how they should be kissing Napoleon's ass when he took all those MILLIONS in RANSOM money, and instead ordered his ships back to France and kept them from taking Haiti back again by force.

Most likely you are not white, mas bien mulato como la mayoria de la gente en DR, considering that only 16% or less of the population is white (not mixed race like most of us)and those are really an elite on the island...pero claro los dominicanos nos llamaremos blancos hasta la muerte no importa cuan ridiculos parezcamos. Furthermore, when I went to school there were kids of all "colors", and that didn't matter. I've dated women from Jamaica, Australia, and of course pure DR's. It appears that the one with racial hangups is YOU. It bothers you being ethnic Dominican? I think it does. It bothers you our cultural, racial mix? Sad. Very sad. Yes, there are non-elite, not rich Dominicans who are white but they still belong to the same 16% of truly white population...not an overwhelming majority per se...As for me being bothered by our cultural racial mix, no my dear, on the contrary I have always believed that we as Dominicans should embrace and accept our cultural diversity without giving more importance to one heritage or the other (as we often do)...If only some Dominicans could understand this the world would be a better place...

Si, sonaste como racista y aunque trato de entender el punto de vista de los Dominicanos de la isla sobre los Haitianos ( en parte provocada por la falta de recursos en el pais para los propios Dominicanos)tambien me molesta como los tratan y como se expresan de ellos.
