If you watched the whole program you would realise how much they respect the beatles and even said how crap they sounded to begin with. However, I would not have heard this song unless kaiser chiefs had covered it. I think it is a pretty good cover from what I have heard of the beatles version

you arrogant arse you think by using the word esoteric you are somehow superior to me. I was just making the point that I hadn't heard much of the sgt. pepper album and therefore the program which showed me this made me more aware. And yes i have listened to the beatles versions since and from what I have heard I honestly prefer the chiefs version. Obviously I realise writing and copying a song are completely different but in pure musical taste I would rather listen to the kaisers version.
