Black Mesa is a Mod made by a non proffiting group of individuals in their spare time, NOT VALVE.
Q/A
Q. What build is this on?
A. Currently it is on the Orange Box build of the source engine (You are required to have at least one source engine game to play it. Portal, TF2, HL2, CSS, L4D, Ect.)
Q. Is this a remake of HL1?
A. Yes, though with minor improvements to the look and feel of the game to meet todays standards.
Q. What platforms is it availible on?
A. It's a MOD so PC only.
Q. Is it to buy?
A. No, It is a completely free project in every respect.
Q. Will my computer be able to play this?
A. As long as you can play any orange box game (HL2:Ep2, TF2, Portal) you shouldn't have a problem.

it was delayed but i'dd say even if they dont do alot from now on, on the project it should still be released before Q3 of 2009, most of the content is 70-80% done anyway. hopefully summer!

more than likely thats all you'll need. If you download the Source SDK base under tools in your steam app (required for all source mods) and the game when it releases

what i was talking about was that if you used console cheats in hl to get near gman, you couldnt kill him. i mean, he was literally made of metal. you could see sparks fly off of him. so my point, is that maybe now you can kill him in this remake of hl.
