Summary:
Child sexual abuse is a global issue that shocks and reviles. This short film generates awareness and exposes the horrors of child sexual abuse. Crimes of the Heart combines dramatic enactment, archival footage and interviews. The drama looks at a girl who is sexually abused by her father. Sensitively portrayed scenes are not overly graphic but will have a profound impact upon the viewer. The accompanying teachers guide is written by child psychologist, Dr. Reina Michaelson (CSAPP) and is a great resource to answer questions generated by the film.
Vocals for the song are performed by Alyce Platt.

The actor who plays the father auditioned for the role and only wanted to play this part to help deter others from causing such harm to children. It was incredibly brave and selfless for him to accept this role to help others.

He did the same to my sister, held a knife to my moms throat, and various other things. i will hate him forever and hope he never has the oppurtunity to hurt anyone again. Seriously, this clip is trying to prove a point that some people obviously don't get: Sexual child abuse happens everyday and that everyone needs to keep their best effort to report anything.
